This time we're going off the rails, lads! Let's continue our Let's Read journey. Also, word of the Insecticons has started to spread. One of the men says he has enough lumber and steel to build a town (on twenty wagons?) and asks if that's what he intends to do. The men can unload everything right here with no issue. Muldoon is there to greet them, coming out of a workshop with the Decepticon symbol stamped right on it. The riders are perplexed about this delivery, but they were paid in advance, so no big deal. Sometime later, twenty wagons weighed down by materials arrive in the desert. Giant alien robots and robberies, what an odd mix. Starscream hopes it's enough to begin operations and if Muldoon needs more, then more will be acquired. Muldoon is absolutely shocked by the sight of all the money. Right on cue, the Insecticons arrive back from their train heist, with plenty of cash. Starscream tells him that secrecy is paramount for his plans and that funding won't be an issue. Muldoon's worried since their location is far from a water supply or a source of materials. Elsewhere, Muldoon and Starscream (colored a dull green now) go over construction plans for a new base and factory to be built in the middle of nowhere. The Insecticons are quite perplexed by the idea of money but they get the job done anyway. The big man looks none too pleased with hearing this and Cletus quickly apologizes. Cletus, not the wisest of men, remarks it's just like how he and Brawley fetch biscuits and beans for John Henry. But all John Henry sees are men fetching wood and water for it, as if they work for it instead of the other way around. Brawley wonders what could go wrong? It does all the work for them, after all. The steel-drivin' man says that the machine brings change, and change isn't always a good thing. The other steel-driving men are amazed by his skill, but John Henry's not keen on this fancy new machine. ![]() Our issue begins with Bumblebee helping the lads lay some spikes along the rail.
